1. General principle
Nhật Nguyệt is built on the principle that most lookup tools work without logging in. Logging in unlocks personalization, and is required for the Nhật Nguyệt AI assistant, palm reading and face reading. If you don't log in, we don't collect any personally identifying information from you beyond ordinary anonymous traffic data (see section 4).
2. Data we collect when you log in
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email, display name and profile picture (if any). When you sign in with Apple, we receive your email (which may be a relay address if you choose to hide it) and your name if you allow it the first time. We NEVER receive or store your Google/Apple account password.
You may VOLUNTARILY provide: birth date, birth hour, and gender, used to auto-fill lookup tools (Tử Vi, numerology, etc.) and personalize article suggestions. Not providing this has no effect on your ability to use any tool.
If you enable reminders, we store the content and dates you create. If you read articles while logged in, we keep a list of recently viewed articles to make "For You" suggestions more relevant, used for no other purpose.
If you create or join a reminder group (family, relatives, friends), the members of that group see your account name and the reminders you set for that group; one group's reminders are not shown to another. You can be in several groups, joining each with an invite code. When a reminder is set or changed for a group, the members it is for receive a notification on their phones. When you leave a group, are removed by its owner, or delete your account, your name and reminders are no longer shown to that group. A reminder set for a group is shared with that group: every member can see it and be reminded of it, and it is also read by the Nhật Nguyệt AI assistant when a member of the group asks it (see section 4).
A group's admins can choose a photo as the group photo. The photo is sent to the Nhật Nguyệt server, cropped to a square, made smaller and written out as a new file, so information attached to the photo such as where and when it was taken and the device used is removed; the original is not kept. The group photo is shown to people in the group. It is not shown on the invite page, is not sent to any AI model or anyone else, and is not used for face recognition. The address of the photo is a long link that is hard to guess, but it opens without signing in: anyone who has that link can see the photo, so do not choose a photo you would not want people outside the group to see. The photo is deleted from the server when an admin changes or removes it, when the person who uploaded it leaves the group or deletes their account, when the group is deleted or has no one left, or when Nhật Nguyệt removes it; the group then goes back to a built-in picture. Cached copies on the delivery network and on the devices of people who have seen it may remain for some time.
You can choose a photo for one of your reminders, for example a relative's photo for a death anniversary or a birthday. For a reminder in a group, the group's admins can also change or remove its photo. The photo is sent to Nhật Nguyệt's server, cropped square, resized and re-encoded as a new file, so information attached to it such as where, when and with which device it was taken is removed; the original is not kept. The photo is shown to you, and to people in a group when you send that reminder to the group; it does not appear on the reminder's share page, is not sent to Google Calendar, to any AI model or to anyone else, and is not used for face recognition. Its address is a long, hard-to-guess link that opens without signing in. The photo is deleted from the server when it is changed or removed, when the reminder is deleted, when the reminder's creator or the person who uploaded that photo deletes their account, or when Nhật Nguyệt removes it.
Each reminder can have a plan: a list of things to do (title, date and time, place, who it is assigned to, whether it is done, a note). For a reminder in a group, people in the group who can see that reminder can see its plan and the names of the people tasks are assigned to and of whoever marked a task done; they can also write comments under the reminder, shown with the writer's name and the time, and react to a comment with emoji, as many times and kinds as they like; people in the group see how many of each reaction a comment has and who reacted. Only the group's admins add, edit, delete and assign tasks; the person a task is assigned to marks it done and adds notes. When a group reminder or its plan changes (its name, date and time, note or photo, tasks being added, edited, assigned or marked done, the reminder being removed from the group or deleted), the people in the group who can see that reminder are notified, except the person who made the change; changes made close together are combined into one notification, sent only between 8 am and 9 pm. On a task's day, the people it is assigned to are notified at the task's time, or at 8 am if it has no time. People in the group are notified of new comments between 8 am and 9 pm; reactions do not send notifications. You can turn off a group's shared reminder notifications, and turn off all group change or comment notifications in the Me tab (see section 12). This data is stored on the Nhật Nguyệt server, does not appear on the reminder's share page, is not sent to Google Calendar or the phone's calendar, to any AI model or to anyone else. It is deleted when the reminder is deleted. When you delete your account, your comments and reactions are deleted and you are removed from the tasks assigned to you. When you leave a group, your reactions are deleted and you are removed from the tasks assigned to you; comments you wrote stay in the group under the name "Former member". When a reminder leaves a group (its creator leaves the group), other people's comments, reactions and notes on it are deleted.
Each occurrence of a reminder (for example this year's death anniversary) can have an album of memory photos. People with a paid plan can add photos to the album, each with an optional short note; how many photos each person can add depends on that person's plan. Photos are compressed and stripped of the information stored in the file (including where they were taken) before they are saved. The photos, notes, the uploader's name and the upload time are stored on the Nhật Nguyệt server. For a private reminder, only you see the album. For a reminder in a group, people in the group who can see that reminder can see the album, view photos full size and save them to their own device; when new photos are added, they get a notification between 8 am and 9 pm, without the photo or note. Photos do not appear on the reminder's share page and are not sent to Google Calendar, to any AI model or to anyone else. Uploaders can edit the notes on and delete their own photos; a group's admins can delete photos in the album of a group reminder. Photos and notes are deleted from the server when the uploader or an admin deletes them, when the reminder is deleted, when the uploader leaves the group or deletes their account, when a reminder leaves a group (other people's photos on it), or when Nhật Nguyệt removes them. Nhật Nguyệt cannot delete copies other people have saved to their own devices.
People in a group can report the group name, a member, a shared reminder, a comment, the group photo or a memory photo; someone who receives a shared link can report that page. A report records its type, the reason, anything you add, the time, the group involved, the account reported and a copy of the reported content as it was at that moment (group name, display name, the title, note and place of a reminder, the text of a comment and the note on a memory photo). A report does not record who made it: no IP address and no account identifier of the reporter. A Nhật Nguyệt reviewer looks at the report and may remove the content, remove a person from the group or lock the account. Handled reports are kept for 365 days and then deleted; when the person reported deletes their account, the information about them in reports is removed.
Inside a group you can block a person so that you no longer see their shared reminders or get notifications about them. The list of people you have blocked is stored on the Nhật Nguyệt server with your account (so it works on every device you sign in on); the person blocked is not told. You can unblock them at any time; deleting your account deletes this list.
Where you live and your home province (optional). If you choose to provide them, we store with your account the province or city where you live and the one you consider home, at province level only, after you agree to this separately. We use them to show festivals in those two places first and to pick the northern, central or southern customs shown in the guide for memorial days and festivals. We do not collect an address, do not read your device's location, do not guess where you are from your network address, and do not ask about or infer ethnicity or religion. When you are not signed in, the two fields stay on your device; the app sends the province name when it asks for the festival list or an occasion guide and the server does not keep it. These fields are not shared with third parties and are not sent to an AI model. You can change or clear them at any time in your account details; withdrawing consent or deleting your account deletes them. When reading a prayer text you can pick a region (north, central, south or nationwide) and press Save; we store that choice with your account so that the text and rites of that region open by default next time. When you are not signed in, the choice stays on your device. It is not shared with third parties, is not sent to an AI model, and is deleted when you delete your account. The name and address you fill into a prayer text stay on your device. When you save a prayer text, we store the code of that text and the time you saved it with your account, so you can open it again quickly on any device where you are signed in. We do not store what you fill into the prayer. This list is not sent to third parties or to any AI model, you can remove a saved text at any time, and the whole list is deleted when you delete your account.
When you buy the Đoàn Viên or Advanced plan in the app, payment is handled by the App Store or Google Play; we do not receive or store your card or payment method. We keep a record of the plan linked to your account: the product bought, the time of purchase, the expiry, the status and the store's transaction ID, so that the plan works on every device you sign in to and so that refunds can be reconciled. When you delete your account, the account ID is removed from this record and the record is kept for reconciliation with the store. So that each plan period gives reading credits only once, we keep a one-way hash of that period's store transaction ID, with the product, the number of credits and the date; it carries no name, email or account ID, and is kept even if you delete your account so that the same period is not credited again.
When you enter an address for a reminder, the address you typed is stored with that reminder and deleted when you delete the reminder or your account. The Directions button opens Google Maps with that address; the address is only sent to Google when you tap it.
Connecting Google Calendar (optional). When you press connect and give permission at Google, Nhật Nguyệt creates its own calendar named "Nhật Nguyệt reminders" in your Google Calendar and writes your reminders there: the reminder name, date, note, place, and reminders that people in your groups send you. The permission only lets Nhật Nguyệt create that calendar and edit the events in it; Nhật Nguyệt cannot see any of your other calendars. To keep the calendar up to date, the server keeps an access key issued by Google, encrypted when stored. You can disconnect at any time in the reminders section of the account page or in the app: Nhật Nguyệt removes that calendar from Google Calendar, returns the permission to Google and deletes the key. Deleting your account does the same three things. Data that is already in Google Calendar is handled by Google under Google's policy. Nhật Nguyệt's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you share a reminder through a link, anyone with the link can see its title, date, upcoming dates, address and your display name, without signing in. The link does not contain your email or account ID; the note only appears if you choose to include it. The link's page is not listed in search engines.
You can revoke a link at any time with Stop sharing; deleting the reminder or your account also stops the link from working. A preview image that Zalo or Facebook saved when the link was pasted there is held by those services and may keep showing for a while; it only shows the title and date, never the note or the address.
When you add the Nhật Nguyệt calendar to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or another calendar app, that app downloads your reminders through a private link containing a random key. Anyone with that link can see the title, date, note and address of your reminders, including reminders your family shared with you, without signing in. You can change the link at any time; the old link stops working immediately. Deleting your account also stops the link from working.
Once added, a copy of the reminders is held by the calendar app you chose (Google, Apple or another provider) under that provider's policy. To remove it, delete the calendar in that calendar app.
How many readings you have viewed in the palm reading and face reading tools, by month (see section 5).
The page that introduces the readings has a contact form. When you send it, you give us your name, an email address or phone number, the pack you are interested in and a message if you add one. We use this only to get back to you and advise you about the readings; it is not used for advertising and is not passed to anyone else. A request is kept for at most 12 months from the day it is sent, then deleted. Write to [email protected] to have it deleted sooner; if you sent the form while signed in, deleting your account deletes the request as well.
3. Purpose of data use
Data you provide is used ONLY to: (a) auto-fill lookup tools so you don't re-enter it; (b) suggest articles matched to your zodiac and reading history; (c) send the reminders you set, in the newsletter you subscribe to and confirm by email, Telegram or Viber, or as phone notifications when you use the app and allow notifications; (d) answering you when you ask the Nhật Nguyệt AI assistant about your own reminders, groups or settings (see section 4); (e) maintain your login session.
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
4. The Nhật Nguyệt AI assistant
The assistant requires sign-in, and on the website as in the app it opens only after you consent. Your question, the earlier turns of the same conversation and anything you tell it there (such as a birth date) are sent to the Nhật Nguyệt server, then to a large language model run by an outside provider to write the answer, and to an outside content-checking service to check the question and the answer. These parties process the data on our behalf. Sending it to them is a transfer of data outside Vietnam.
When you ask the assistant about your own reminders, groups or settings, the Nhật Nguyệt server reads the relevant part of your account and sends it along to the language model so it can write the answer; the answer passes through the content-checking service like any other. That part may include the names, dates, notes and places of your reminders, group names, your display name and those of members who have agreed to let the assistant read theirs, the birth date, birth hour and gender in your profile, your plan, how many uses you have left, what you have agreed to, your notification choices and a few of the app's settings on your device. Your email, group invite codes, private calendar link and device codes are not sent. Reminders set for a group are read when any member of that group asks the assistant, including reminders set by other members. If you do not ask about them, none of this data is sent. The assistant only reads; it does not create, change or delete anything in your account.
The Nhật Nguyệt server keeps the conversation in memory for at most 30 minutes after the last turn and does not write it to disk; statistics and content-review logs do not contain your questions. You can withdraw consent at any time on the Me screen of the app, or by writing to [email protected]. Do not send the assistant ID numbers, account numbers or other people's information.
When you order a personal reading (Bát Tự, Tử Vi or numerology), you fill in a display name, birth date and time, sex and, if you wish, a few sentences about your situation. The chart is cast by Nhật Nguyệt's own calculation engine on the Nhật Nguyệt server. To write the reading, the Nhật Nguyệt server sends the computed facts of the chart, sex, age and the description of your situation to a large language model run by an outside provider, which processes them on our behalf. Your personal data such as the display name and the birth date and time are not sent to the model. Phone numbers, email addresses, the display name and the birth date are masked if they appear in the description of your situation before it is sent. We send this only after you have given separate consent for it. The reading and the information you filled in are saved on the Nhật Nguyệt server with your account so you can read it again; there is no public link to a reading. You can delete any reading at any time under My readings; deleting your account deletes all of them. When a reading is deleted, whether you delete it or delete your account, we keep a log entry for 3 years to handle any complaint or dispute: the reading ID, the account ID (if the account is deleted, only a one-way hash of it), the type and method of the reading, the dates it was created, completed and deleted, the time you confirmed the person it is about had agreed, and a hash of the reading's content, which can only be used to check a copy against it and cannot restore the content. The log entry contains no reading text, name, birth date or time, or anyone's situation. After 3 years the entry is deleted. Please do not write about health in the description of your situation.
You can order a reading for someone else. That person's birth date, birth time and situation are their personal data: fill them in only after they have agreed, and confirm this before you submit. For your minor children, you consent on their behalf as their legal representative. The person a reading is about can write to [email protected] to ask for it to be deleted.
When you send feedback about a reading, we store your rating, the options you picked and your comment with your account, so that our operator can read it and improve how readings are prepared; your comment is not sent to any third party. Feedback is deleted when you delete your account, or earlier if you write to [email protected].
You can create a link to share one of your readings. Anyone with the link can read that reading, including the name and birth date shown in it. A link exists only when you create it; you can stop sharing at any time and the link stops working right away.
After reading, you can ask a few more questions about your own reading. To answer, the Nhật Nguyệt server sends the text of that reading (without the display name and birth date and time shown at the top) together with your question to a large language model run by an outside provider, which processes them on our behalf. Phone numbers, email addresses, the display name and the birth date are masked if they appear in the question before it is sent. Questions and answers are also sent to an outside content-checking service to block harmful content, as with the Nhật Nguyệt AI assistant. Sending them to these parties is a transfer of data outside Vietnam. We send this only after you have given separate consent for it. Questions and answers are saved with the reading on the Nhật Nguyệt server so you can read them again; deleting the reading or your account deletes them too, and when a reading is redone its earlier questions are deleted. Please do not write about health or about other people in your questions.
For a reading for two, a reading for working together, or a reading for parents, you also enter a second person's name, birth date and time, and sex. For a reading for two or for working together, you confirm that this person has agreed to your using them; for a reading for parents, you confirm that you are that child's parent or guardian. As with your own details, the language model receives only what is calculated from the second person's chart, not their name or birth date and time. The second person's details are kept with the reading in your account and are deleted when you delete that reading or your account.
For a reading for your child, the person filling it in confirms that they are the parent or guardian of the person being read, who is 18 or younger; Nhật Nguyệt keeps that confirmation with the reading.
5. Photos in the face and palm reading tools
In the face reading and palm reading tools you can choose to use a photo instead of picking each feature. The photo goes through the Nhật Nguyệt server to a vision model run by an outside provider to recognise the features and pre-fill the fields, which you can change before seeing the result. Sending it is a transfer of data outside Vietnam, and we ask for your consent before the first upload. Photos of your face or palm are handled as sensitive data. The Nhật Nguyệt server does not store the photo. If you prefer not to send a photo, pick the features by hand.
These two tools require logging in and have a monthly limit on readings. To count them, the server stores against your account: the month, the tool name and how many readings you have viewed. This counter contains no photos and no reading text. So that viewing the same result again is not counted twice, the server briefly remembers, for up to two hours, a short code derived from the choices you just viewed; that code is never written to long-term storage. When you delete your account, your counter is deleted with it.
6. Your consent choices and reports on AI answers
We ask for your consent separately for each purpose: building a chart from your birth date, hour and gender, using the family calendar and family profiles, using the AI assistant, and sending a photo for face or palm reading. Nothing is pre-selected, and declining one purpose does not cost you any other part of the site.
So that we can show whether you agreed or declined, the server keeps a record of each choice: the purpose, agreed or declined, the version of the wording you read, the time, your account ID if you are signed in, and a one-way hashed device code. The record contains no IP address, name or email. When you delete your account, the records tied to it are deleted too.
Each answer from the assistant has a report button. When you report one, the server keeps that answer, the question just before it (if any), the reason and note you give, and your account ID, so that Nhật Nguyệt's editors can read it and correct how the assistant answers. When you delete your account, your reports are detached from it (the account ID is removed) and only the content remains for review.
7. Anonymous traffic data & Google Analytics
Nhật Nguyệt may use Google Analytics to measure overall traffic (page views, device type, city/country-level location) to improve the experience, this data is aggregated and not tied to your specific identity. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
For public articles, we count views per article to surface popular content (the "Suggested" section of the knowledge base), this count is NOT tied to a specific viewer's identity, only a per-article, per-day counter.
So that one person reopening the same article is not counted several times, the server keeps in memory, for up to 30 minutes, a one-way hash made from the IP address and browser type; we do not store the IP address and do not write this hash to any database.
When you are signed in, so that we know how many people use Nhật Nguyệt each day, the server records for each day a one-way hash made from your account ID, together with the hours of the day you used the service, the platform (Android, iOS or web) and the app version. This hash contains no name, email, IP address or anything you viewed, and is used only to count users by day, week and month. It is kept for 400 days and then deleted automatically. When you delete your account, the hashes already recorded can no longer be linked to anyone and remain only as part of the counts.
8. Advertising
Nhật Nguyệt may display ads via Google AdSense to sustain free operation. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show more relevant ads based on your browsing activity across sites, you can turn off ad personalization in your Google account settings at adssettings.google.com. If you choose Decline in the cookie banner, you still see ads, but they are non-personalized and not based on your browsing history.
9. Storage & security
User data is stored on a server Nhật Nguyệt rents from DigitalOcean, located in Singapore, so storing it there is a transfer of data outside Vietnam. All connections to the website and the app pass through Cloudflare's network, which delivers content and blocks attacks. Login sessions are authenticated via time-limited tokens; we never store passwords in any form (authentication is entirely delegated to Google/Apple).
No system is 100% secure, we apply reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute protection against every attack.
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Conversations with the AI assistant stay only in server memory, for at most 30 minutes after the last turn. Server access logs are kept for 90 days and contain no IP addresses.
10. Your data rights
You can view and edit your personal profile and reminders at any time in your Account page.
You can delete your account yourself on the Account page of the website or on the Me screen of the app. Deletion takes effect immediately and removes your profile, reminders, reading history, saved tool results, newsletter subscriptions and family group membership. Data not tied to your account cannot be removed this way: game scores carry only a name you typed, and likes are stored as anonymous hashes. If you cannot delete it yourself, write to [email protected].
When you delete your account, we keep a one-way hash of the account ID, only to record that the account has already received the free reading; it carries no name, email or reading data.
Logging out does not delete saved data, it remains available when you log back in, until you actively delete it.
11. Cookies & browser storage
Nhật Nguyệt uses your browser's localStorage to keep your login session (token) on your own device, we don't use cross-site tracking cookies for our own personalization. Google Analytics/AdSense (if enabled) may set their own cookies per Google's policies.
12. The Nhật Nguyệt app for iPhone and Android
The app stores on your device: the birth date and gender you enter (in the phone's encrypted storage), your language, your consent choices and your quiz scores. If you are not signed in, the birth date is sent only with the calculation that needs it, and the server does not keep that calculation; if you are signed in, your birth details are also saved to your account so you can use them on the website and other devices. If you lock the app with a fingerprint or your face, recognition is done on the device by the operating system and the app never receives biometric data. When you are not signed in, reminder notifications are scheduled on the device itself; the home screen widget computes the lunar date itself and reads reminders from the app.
The app has no ads. It uses Google Firebase to receive push notifications (for example when a family member adds a shared reminder), to report errors when the app fails (without your name, email or anything you type), and to measure how the app is used in anonymous form, such as which screens are opened and which tools are used. This measurement is on by default; you can turn it off at any time under Me, "Help improve the app". On devices whose region is set to a European country, the app asks first and measures only if you agree. The app does not collect the device's advertising ID and does not track you across other apps or websites. Firebase is a Google service, so this data is transferred outside Vietnam. It reads a photo only when you choose to take or pick one in the face reading or palm reading tools (section 5), and it does not read your location, contacts or calendar; the microphone is used only when you tap the microphone button to speak instead of typing. The server counts uses of each tool, and how many times the app is opened by device type and app version, in aggregate, not tied to any user or device.
The Nhật Nguyệt app does not read the calendar on your phone. When you tap Add to phone calendar, the app opens your phone's add-event screen with the details filled in, and you save it yourself. The app only remembers on the device which reminders were added and when, so it does not invite you to add them twice; this is not sent anywhere and is lost when you uninstall the app.
When a reminder comes due, you are alerted in one of two ways. If you are not signed in, the app schedules the alert on your device and sends nothing. If you are signed in and have allowed notifications, the Nhật Nguyệt server sends a notification to the devices you are signed in on, on the advance day and on the day itself, at the time set in the reminder. For a group reminder, members currently in the group also receive that notification, between 8 am and 9 pm.
The notification carries the reminder's name, date and note, and for a group reminder the display name of the person who created it. It is delivered to your device through Google's push notification service (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and on iPhone through Apple's notification service; these services process the notification content in order to deliver it. So do not put in a reminder's name or note anything you would not want shown on a lock screen.
To send reminders without sending them twice, the server keeps: the notification token of each device you are signed in on, together with whether that device receives reminders from the server; a sent marker for each alert, as a hash that cannot be read back, kept for 7 days; and a daily count of how many notifications were sent and how many failed, kept for 90 days. The count does not record reminder names or who received them.
If you turn on Daily reminder in the Me tab (off by default), each morning at the time you choose the server sends the devices you are signed in on a notification summarising that day: the solar and lunar date, the day's stem and branch, the day officer, whether it is an auspicious or inauspicious day, and how many of your reminders fall on that day or in the next seven days. This notification carries no reminder names and nothing derived from your birth date. Tapping it opens the Daily reminder page in the app, where the server builds the part for your sign from your birth-date profile and lists your reminders. To send only once a day, the server keeps your on or off choice, your delivery time and the date of the last message for your account; deleting your account deletes them. You can turn it off at any time in the Me tab, under Notifications, or on that page.
You can turn reminders off on a device with the Alerts on this phone switch on the Reminders screen, or by turning off the app's notification permission in your phone's Settings; the server then stops sending reminders to that device. In each group, you can turn off alerts for reminders set by other members; reminders you set yourself still alert you. In the Me tab, under Notifications, you can turn off notifications about group changes (shared reminders added, changed or removed, tasks given to you, new photos, requests to review) and comment notifications. Both are on by default, are saved with your account and are deleted when you delete your account; they do not turn off reminders when a date arrives. The News from Nhật Nguyệt choice applies only to announcements and does not turn off reminders. When you sign out, the device's notification token is removed from your account.
News that Nhật Nguyệt sends to everyone, such as a new feature or an upcoming festival, reaches your device only when you are signed in, have allowed notifications and have turned on News from Nhật Nguyệt yourself, under Me, Notifications. The switch is off by default. You can turn it on or off at any time; with it off you still receive your own reminders and your groups' shared reminders. Accounts that were already receiving news before 6 October 2026 keep their earlier choice until they change it.
News is sent in the language you chose in the app. To do that, the server keeps that language together with your device's notification token, and deletes both when you sign out or delete your account.
When you tap a piece of news sent by Nhật Nguyệt, the app tells the server that the message was opened once. We only add to a single count for that whole send, to learn whether the message was useful; we do not record which account or device opened it.
Your recent searches are remembered on your own device, up to 10 of them, so you can repeat them quickly. This list is not sent anywhere; you can remove one search or clear them all at any time, and it is lost when you uninstall the app or clear your browser data.
If you have entered your birth date, the app's search screen suggests a few searches that fit your birth year, for example which signs yours is compatible with. These are put together on your device from the birth date you entered; nothing is sent when they are shown. When you tap one, it is searched like anything you type yourself, and it may contain your lunar birth year or zodiac sign.
When you search, the server receives your search text to return results, and counts how many times each search was made and whether anyone opened a result, so we know what content is missing. That count does not record who searched. If you are signed in and have entered your birth date, the app sends the search together with your session so the answer can be worked out from the birth year in your profile; that answer is returned only to you and is not stored.
In the app, you can tap the microphone button to speak instead of typing in the search box and in the Nhật Nguyệt AI box. Nhật Nguyệt does not record, store or receive your audio: we only receive the text produced from your speech, and use it exactly as we use text you type. In Nhật Nguyệt AI, the text appears in the box for you to read and edit, and is sent only when you tap send.
Turning speech into text is done by the speech recognition service of the phone or browser you are using, usually Google's or Apple's. That service may send audio to the provider's servers for recognition, under the provider's own policy. Nhật Nguyệt does not control that audio and does not receive it.
The app asks for microphone access only when you first tap the microphone button, and listens only while the screen shows Listening or while your phone's own speech box is open. You can turn this permission off at any time in your phone's Settings; you can still type as usual.
13. Children's privacy
Nhật Nguyệt is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it upon notice.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to accurately reflect how data is collected/used as features change. The most recent update date is always shown at the top of this page.
15. Public figure profiles and the right to have one removed
Nhat Nguyet hosts profiles of some public figures, built from information already published in mainstream press, alongside numerology and astrology readings. Those readings are cultural convention offered as reference, not a judgement about a real person, and we say so on every profile.
If a profile is about you and you would rather it not be shown, write to [email protected] with the link. We take it down.
We also correct or remove profiles when someone reports an error, such as a wrong birth date or a case of mistaken identity. If you want a correction rather than a removal, say so and include a source.
16. Contact
For any privacy or data questions, please contact [email protected]. Messages sent through the contact form are kept on our server so we can read and answer them, deleted automatically after one year, and forwarded to the operator via Telegram.
