Delete your Nhật Nguyệt account and data

This page is for people who use the Nhật Nguyệt app (Android, iOS) and the website nhatnguyet.org. An account is created by signing in with Google or Apple, is shared by the app and the website, and you can delete it yourself at any time.

How to delete your account

  1. In the Nhật Nguyệt app: Open the Me tab, choose Delete account, then confirm twice.
  2. On the website: Sign in at nhatnguyet.org, open the Account page, go to the Account tab, choose Delete account at the bottom, then type DELETE to confirm. This does not require the app.
  3. If you cannot sign in: Write to [email protected] and give the email address of the account to delete.

Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

  • Your account profile: name, email, birth date and hour, gender and anything else you entered in the profile.
  • All reminders. Any calendar you added to your phone from them stops updating.
  • Family profiles.
  • Saved tool results, reading history and newsletter subscriptions.
  • Family group membership: you leave every group, and your name and shared reminders are no longer shown to it. A group you own passes to the remaining member who joined earliest; a group with no one left is deleted.
  • Any open conversation with the AI assistant. These conversations only ever stay in server memory, for at most 30 minutes after the last turn.
  • The consent records tied to the account.
  • The push notification tokens of devices signed in to this account.
  • When you delete from the app, the birth date saved on that device is removed too.

What is kept

  • Reports you sent about the AI assistant's answers: they are detached from the account (the account ID is removed) and only the content remains for editors to review.
  • The record of a plan bought through the App Store or Google Play, if any: the account ID is removed and the record is kept for reconciliation with the store. What remains carries no account ID and no email.
  • Game scores and likes: they are not tied to an account, so they cannot be removed with it. Game scores carry only a name you typed, and likes are stored as anonymous hashes.
  • Server access logs: kept for 90 days, and they contain no IP addresses.

Delete some data and keep the account

  • Birth date: in the app under Me, Birth date, Delete birth date; on the website, clear the day, month and year fields in your profile and save.
  • A single reminder: delete it in the Reminders tab of the Account page on the website, or on the Reminders screen in the app.
  • Family profiles: delete each one in the Family tab of the Account page on the website, or in the app.
  • Family groups: leave the group in the Family tab of the Account page on the website, or under Family calendar in the app.
