Where this comes from
Lunar dates and stems and branches are calendar computations. Each day is weighed on four points of date-selection convention: an auspicious day by the six good day gods, the fit with each person's birth-year branch and Nạp Âm element, and lunar month 7 by the avoidance custom. The score is Nhật Nguyệt's own ranking, not a shared standard.
This only reorders the ranking; it removes no day from the list.

What is the wedding date ranking based on?
You enter the bride's and groom's birth years and the window you are considering. Every day in the window is ranked, not just a few good ones, because the two families still have to fit around each other, the venue and the rainy season.
Each day is checked on four points. First, an auspicious day: a day ruled by one of the six good day gods (Thanh Long, Minh Đường, Kim Quỹ, Kim Đường, Ngọc Đường, Tư Mệnh) gains points. Second and third, how well the day suits the groom and the bride, scored separately on their birth-year branch and nạp âm element. Fourth, avoided months.
The shared rating is the lower of the two, not the average, because an average hides a strong clash on one side. Both individual ratings are still shown. As for avoided months, only the seventh lunar month loses points. The third lunar month is avoided only in some regions, so it is not penalised; if your hometown avoids it, factor that in yourself.
The page does not say whether the couple's ages are compatible and gives no compatibility percentage. A line like "you two are 43% compatible" can delay a whole wedding while resting on two birth years. The procession hour, both families' schedules, the health of elderly relatives and whether the venue is free usually matter more than the day's stem and branch.

Does the page say whether our ages are compatible?
No. The result helps you choose a date; it does not judge the marriage. A verdict of incompatible ages or a percentage could delay a wedding while resting only on two birth years.
Why take the lower of the two ratings instead of the average?
Because an average hides the case where one side clashes badly, which is exactly what you need to know. Both individual ratings are still shown.
What do I need to enter?
The range of dates you are considering and the two birth years. No names, birth dates or birth hours are needed.
How is an auspicious day worked out here?
By the almanac's cycle of twelve day gods. A day ruled by Thanh Long, Minh Đường, Kim Quỹ, Kim Đường, Ngọc Đường or Tư Mệnh is auspicious; the other six make it inauspicious.
Are Tam Nương and Nguyệt Kỵ counted?
Not yet. These two customs are not part of the score. To avoid them, check the lunar date shown with each day: Tam Nương falls on lunar days 3, 7, 13, 18, 22 and 27, Nguyệt Kỵ on 5, 14 and 23.
What if every day in the range scores poorly?
The days are still ranked and the best-placed ones in your range are named; the page never says the range has no good day. You can widen the range if you want more options.
Is there a scientific basis for the result?
No. This is folk knowledge, to be taken as cultural reference rather than a prediction about the marriage.
