What the app does

A calendar page every morning

Open the app to see the solar and lunar date, the can chi of the day, month and year, the current solar term and any festival on today. Auspicious hours sit right below the page.

Add a small or medium widget to your home screen, on iPhone or Android, to see the lunar date without opening the app.

The app's Today screen: the calendar page for 4 October 2026

One anniversary calendar for the family

Set a death anniversary on the lunar calendar once. The app finds its solar date every year and notifies you at 8 am, on the day or a few days ahead.

One person sets it, the whole family is told: invite relatives to the Family calendar with a short code. Only the person who made a reminder can change it.

Reminders and the Family calendar need sign-in with Apple or Google.

The app's Family calendar screen

Every figure can be checked

The How it is computed screen lays out the input, the formula, each step and the result for the lunar date and the can chi.

Lunar dates follow Vietnam time (UTC+7), using Hồ Ngọc Đức's algorithm and Jean Meeus's astronomical formulas. It is the same engine as the tools on nhatnguyet.org, cross-checked against NASA, IMCCE and USNO data.

Quizzes and Vietnamese calendar lore

Five questions a day on the Vietnamese calendar and festivals, new every day.

The Explore tab has this month's festivals, the 24 solar terms and short lessons on the lunar calendar. The Knowledge tab has articles with their sources marked.
