Nhật Nguyệt milestones: the AI assistant, open data, corrections and the app in stores

These are Nhật Nguyệt's own milestones, each with a date and a place where you can check it yourself. This post is updated whenever there is a new one.
14 September 2026: Nhật Nguyệt AI
The chat assistant went live on the web. It now answers from our published articles with numbered sources after each claim, and has a safety layer under Vietnamese law for sensitive topics.
16 September 2026: the first open datasets
We published datasets on the lunar calendar, the sexagenary cycle and solar terms under CC BY 4.0, on the web and on Hugging Face and GitHub. Each release has a code and a manifest with a hash for every file, so anyone can verify it. The manifest of 14 October 2026 lists 30 datasets, including Vietnamese festivals and prayer texts.

27 September 2026: the Corrections page
The page logs where Nhật Nguyệt got things wrong, how it was fixed and against which sources, plus issues still being fixed. Corrections are entered by an editor.

28 September 2026: DOI and Wikidata
The datasets received a DOI on Zenodo, 10.5281/zenodo.23009396, so researchers can cite the exact version. The datasets and Nhật Nguyệt also have Wikidata entries (Q141589952). The GitHub repository moved to the Nhat-Nguyet organisation.
8 October 2026: the app on Google Play
The Nhật Nguyệt Android app went live on Google Play: a daily calendar page, lunar anniversary reminders for the whole family, and widgets.
12 October 2026: the app on the App Store
The Nhật Nguyệt app for iPhone and iPad went live on the App Store.
13 October 2026: Prayer texts
Full prayer texts for every rite, with the pages around them in three languages. Details are in the launch news post.
