TL;DR: Hữu Bật is one of the Six Auspicious Stars in Zi Wei Dou Shu, symbolizing assistance, support, and good fortune. This star often brings noble benefactors, reduces misfortune, and enhances blessings for the destiny holder.
What is Hữu Bật Star in Zi Wei Dou Shu?
In Zi Wei Dou Shu, besides major stars like Tử Vi (Emperor) and Thiên Phủ, there are auspicious stars that bring positive influences. The Six Auspicious Stars include Tả Phụ, Hữu Bật, Văn Xương, Văn Khúc, Thiên Khôi, and Thiên Việt. This article focuses on Hữu Bật, a crucial star in this group.
Origin and nature of Hữu Bật
Hữu Bật is one of the two generals always flanking the Tử Vi Emperor, with Tả Phụ on the left and Hữu Bật on the right. This role signifies assistance, support, and loyalty. Hữu Bật represents trustworthy friends and colleagues who are always ready to help the destiny holder in work and life.
In terms of Five Elements, Hữu Bật belongs to Water. Water is soft, flexible, but has the power to penetrate and nourish. This explains why Hữu Bật can resolve conflicts, soften the rigidity of other stars, and provide quiet, unassuming support.

What does the Hữu Bật star mean in Zi Wei Dou Shu?
Personality and talents
People with Hữu Bật in their Destiny Palace or important palaces often have these traits:
- Loyal and reliable: They are good friends and colleagues, keeping promises and helping others without calculation.
- Humble and non-confrontational: Unlike strong stars, Hữu Bật brings gentleness and a preference for behind-the-scenes work.
- Tactful in communication: Thanks to Water element, they understand others' psychology, act flexibly, and easily gain sympathy and trust.
- Good organizational and supportive skills: They excel as assistants, arranging work and supporting leaders effectively.
Career and achievements
Hữu Bật is considered a star that brings noble benefactors. People with this star often meet mentors and supporters in their careers, especially during difficult times. They easily gain trust from superiors and support from colleagues.
However, Hữu Bật is an auxiliary star, not a primary creator of major success. It acts as a catalyst, helping major stars (like Tử Vi, Thiên Phủ, Thái Dương) maximize their potential. If the chart has Tử Vi meeting Hữu Bật, the person can become a talented leader who knows how to use people and has many capable associates.
Relationships and love life
Hữu Bật is not a peach blossom star like Hồng Loan, Thiên Hỉ, Hàm Trì, or Thiên Diêu. However, it positively influences relationships. People with Hữu Bật often have good social connections, few enemies, and are loved by many. In marriage, they are loyal partners who care and share, perhaps not overly romantic but very dependable.
How does Hữu Bật affect different palaces and stars?
Position in the chart
Hữu Bật is usually in a palace symmetrical to Tả Phụ across the Tử Vi axis. Specifically, when Tử Vi is in Ty, Tả Phụ is in Dan, and Hữu Bật is in Thin. Its exact position depends on Tử Vi's location. The palace where Hữu Bật resides influences the corresponding life area.
