The core difference lies in the goal of the thinking process. Te is directed at the outside world, seeking efficiency and results measurable by objective standards, and likes organizing and coordinating people. Meanwhile, Ti is directed inward, seeking internal logical consistency, and likes figuring things out and analyzing on its own to understand the essence of a problem. Te answers the question 'what works', while Ti answers the question 'why it is correct'.
