Results for "mole on the shoulder"

Quick answer

Is a vermilion mole on the shoulder really a noble sign according to Thần tướng toàn biên?

There is no basis for it in the classical books. The line “There is a red mole on the shoulder blade. This is an extremely noble sign.” appears in popular Vietnamese physiognomy books such as Xem tướng biết người, but not in the mole section of Thái thanh thần giám, and Thần tướng toàn biên reads the shoulders by shape (it dislikes a thin back with drooping shoulders, or raised shoulders with a thin neck). This is a physiognomic convention, not a scientific conclusion.
