Princess Huyền Trân (1287-1340) was the daughter of King Trần Nhân Tông. In 1306, she was married to the king of Champa, Chế Mân, in exchange for the two châu (districts) of Ô and Lý being annexed into Đại Việt. This is regarded as an important milestone in the process of expanding the territory southward.
