Quick answer

What does giáp cung mean in Tử Vi?

Giáp cung refers to the two palaces immediately flanking the palace under consideration, usually Mệnh or Thân. When those two adjacent palaces hold stars, those stars form a configuration acting on the palace caught in between, called giáp. This is a secondary layer of information, read alongside the main stars of the flanked palace, not a replacement for them.
